Alex Madden has been producing and delivering sound waves of epic proportion since busting the dance scene apart in 2005. The journey began when Alex was 16 years old, growing up in North London he became engrossed with the UK Garage (UKG) scene that was very popular at the time. Inspired by the great UKG DJ's/Producers at the time such as DJ EZ, Todd Edwards, MJ Cole, Grant Nelson and many more Alex was regularly attending the events at local clubs and bars as a raver. A brief encounter with DJ EZ after a set at Twice as Nice would change Alex's life, "You could do what I do you just have to practice, practice, practice!" After years of practicing and hard graft his musical knowledge and tastes changed after visiting the magical island of Ibiza. House music became his new love and this was where he wanted to make his mark.
Alex’s skills and unique style as a DJ have landed him at events with some of the biggest names in the industry today. Supporting and playing alongside the likes of Michael Woods, Judge Jules, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano to name just a few. A career highlight was touring Australia early in 2011. Playing in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns and Melbourne cementing the tour with a headlining gig at Singapore's Stereolab. He is also is very proud to have played at venues in the UK such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Sankeys. Alex has also managed to build and maintain a following in Holland, visiting the country numerous times over the last 6 years playing at festivals for what is now known as Kingsday. Ibiza was the place to start this musical obsession for Alex and he always enjoys visiting there during the summer seasons having played at a number of venues on the island including Eden. Another career highlight for Alex was headlining the Chic main stage at Birmingham Pride Festival alongside Judge Jules, someone that he looked up to from when he was just a partygoer himself.
Alex Madden has been working hard in the studio for the last 4 years and has really started to find his sound. A mixture of melodic feel good synths with driving bass lines is something that motivates Alex in the studio. Alex has a very eclectic taste and does not allow himself to be restricted during the creative process. You may here elements of deep and techno house surfacing in future projects. Alex’s first solo track ‘Epic’ was released on Extra Dry back in 2011 and also made it on to the Azuli Ibiza compilation of that year. Since then he has been hard at work in the studio creating some more “epic” tracks that he now feels are ready to be shared with the world.
